Privacy Policy.
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do (and don't do) with it. Plain language.

In short
Heavy Duty Truck Diagnostics (HDT) collects the information you give us when you place an order, request a quote, or contact us. We use it to ship your order, answer your questions, and follow up about diagnostic tools you might need. We do not sell your information to anyone.
What we collect
When you contact us or place an order, we may collect:
- Name, business name, email, phone number, shipping address, billing address.
- Information about the trucks and engines in your bay (so we can recommend the right tool).
- Order history and purchase details.
- Payment information (processed by our payment processor — we don't store full card numbers).
When you visit the site, we automatically collect basic analytics: pages viewed, browser type, approximate location (city level), referring site, and time on page. This is standard web analytics and is used in aggregate.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process and ship your orders.
- Answer your questions and provide tech support.
- Recommend tools that fit your shop based on what you've told us.
- Send order updates, shipping notifications, and (occasionally) buyer guides relevant to your engine mix.
- Improve the website and our customer experience.
Who we share with
We share information only with service providers we use to run our business:
- Shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx) — to deliver your orders.
- Payment processors — to process payments securely.
- Equipment finance partners — only if you apply for financing.
- Manufacturers — only when activating software licenses or processing warranty claims tied to your specific product.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third-party marketers.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic functionality (cart sessions, login state, preferences) and aggregate analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may stop working if you do.
Security
We use industry-standard security to protect your data — encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all transactions, secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers, and access controls on our internal systems.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever exposes customer information, we'll notify affected customers promptly and follow applicable disclosure laws.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what information we have on you.
- Ask us to update or correct it.
- Ask us to delete it (subject to record-keeping requirements for orders, taxes, and warranty).
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Email support@oemdiagnostictools.com to make any of these requests.
