TEXA Support & FAQ.
Straight answers for TEXA owners on warranties, TEXPACK renewals, software updates, and kit selection — including what to do if you have lost your TEXA distributor. Questions not covered here? Call (800) 399-9495.
Your TEXA Tool & Warranty
Will my TEXA diagnostic tool still work?
Yes. Your TEXA hardware does not care who sold it to you. The VCI keeps pairing, IDC keeps launching, and software updates continue to pull directly from TEXA's own servers. Nothing about your day-to-day operation changes.
Is my TEXA warranty still valid?
Yes. All TEXA manufacturer warranties remain in full effect. The warranty is between you and TEXA — it does not transfer with the seller and it does not lapse because the seller relationship changed.
TEXPACK & Subscriptions
What happens to my existing TEXPACK subscription?
If you have an active TEXPACK purchased through your previous TEXA distributor, your coverage continues through the end of your current prepaid term. That obligation runs to expiration regardless of seller status. When the renewal comes due, you can route it through HDT or directly through TEXA USA — both work, and we will quote it in writing with no tier-confusion games.
I already prepaid TEXPACK coverage through my previous distributor — what now?
Your prepaid term is good through expiration. Your previous distributor is on the hook for support during that prepaid window. For any billing or coverage question about what you already paid them for, contact them directly. When the term ends, call us at (800) 399-9495 and we will handle the renewal at quoted pricing.
What happens if I let my TEXA license lapse?
The software does not brick. You keep the last version you had on the day the license expired. What you lose: new vehicle releases, software patches, tech support escalation through TEXA, and any tier-bundled training. Within twelve to eighteen months of no renewal, the new model years coming into your bay will not be in the database. We have seen shops do this and regret it. Renew on time.
Software Updates & Technical Support
Can I still get TEXA software updates?
Yes — directly from TEXA. Connect your IDC machine, sign in to TEXA's server, pull the latest. No middleman, no broker, no relationship-dependent gating. This is how TEXA has always done it.
Who do I contact for technical support?
For setup, kit configuration, cable selection, license activation, RP1210 driver questions, and any post-sale help on anything you bought from HDT: call us at (800) 399-9495. Real techs, US-based, free for our customers. For TEXA-internal escalations (firmware-level issues, hardware RMA on TEXA-branded equipment), TEXA USA is at 1-855-200-8392 or northamerica@texa.com.
Where can I get TEXA training and technical resources?
TEXA USA runs training programs out of their Pennsylvania facility. The platform rewards techs who understand its menu structure, so training is genuinely worth the time — especially if your bench has only ever used American scan tools. Call us first for a course recommendation that matches your shop's mix; we will help you get a seat in the right one.
Buying & Authenticity
Can I purchase additional TEXA products?
Yes. We carry the full TEXA heavy-duty and off-highway lineup — IDC6 Truck and OHW licenses, Navigator TXT Multihub VCIs, AXONE Nemo Plus tablets, AXONE Voice kits, the 3151-series diagnostic cables, and the Truck/OHW power supply kits. Same authorized TEXA channel. Call (800) 399-9495 to spec a kit that actually fits your shop.
How do I verify my TEXA components are authentic?
Every piece HDT ships moves through authorized TEXA channels. No gray market, no clone hardware, no jailbroken licenses. If you have older TEXA components from a previous seller and want them audited for authenticity, TEXA USA will run a complimentary system audit — call them at 1-855-200-8392 or email service through TEXA USA directly.
Will there be any interruption in service?
No. Your tool keeps working. Updates keep arriving. The warranty keeps standing. The only thing that changes is where the renewal invoice comes from when your current subscription term ends. Until then, nothing about your bench changes.
Lost Your TEXA Distributor? Start Here.
I lost my TEXA distributor — what should I actually do?
Three steps. (1) Keep using your tool exactly as you always have. (2) Keep pulling updates from TEXA's server — they will continue to flow as long as your license is current. (3) When your TEXPACK comes up for renewal, call us at (800) 399-9495. We will quote the renewal in writing, break out exactly what is included, and give you the year-two cost up front. No surprises, no upsell theatre.
How does HDT price TEXA renewals and kits?
Straight. Every quote is in writing with the year-two renewal cost stated up front before you write a check. Tier add-ons (Secure Gateway / TEXA Security Access, additional module bundles, OHW add-ons) are itemized so you know what you are paying for. We will tell you on the phone if a cheaper configuration covers your bay mix.
Which TEXA kit is right for my shop?
Depends on what rolls in your door. If you are 95% Cascadia, Anthem, and Volvo VNL with no European iron, TEXA can absolutely cover you — but you should also know JPRO will outdepth it on US-domestic engines, and we will say so. If you see European trucks (Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Iveco, Scania, DAF) in the mix, TEXA IDC6 Truck on a Navigator TXT Multihub earns its spot day one. If you handle truck plus off-highway, add IDC6 OHW on the same VCI. Call us with your engine mix and we will spec the kit honestly.
What is the lead time on a TEXA package from HDT?
In-stock truck packages: same business day if ordered before 2:00 p.m. CT. Configured laptop kits (Toughbook + IDC6 + cables, bench-tested before it ships) add one to three business days. Software-only licenses: same day, emailed direct after we confirm the activation details with you.
